Here in the U.S., the upcoming Fourth of July holiday means different things to different people.
This year, it might mean finally reconnecting with friends and family for an in-person backyard barbecue.
Every year, I can't help but think about the reason we celebrate: the most famous declaration of all, the Declaration of Independence—a document that started a revolution.
On July 4, 1776, our founding fathers said, “Enough. We reject the King of Great Britain and his tyranny. These 13 colonies are no longer colonies. We're our own sovereign nation.”
And those of us in the U.S. live out that declaration every minute of every day. We bring it into existence, hour by hour, day by day, year by year.
How powerful is that?
