When I transitioned from being a pro football player to an actor and playwright, I hired the Best—legendary director and acting coach Larry Moss.

(He's the guy Helen Hunt thanked when she won the Oscar for As Good as It Gets, and he prepped Leonardo DiCaprio for several of his Oscar-nominated roles.)

So when Larry asked me to cut out my favorite part of Runt of the Litter, the one-man play I wrote and starred in, I was devastated.

(And maybe a little pissed off, too…)

Was he right . . . ? Yes.

But was I also right . . . ? Yes. (Because in your lowest moments is where you'll find storytelling gold.)

Let me explain, in this snippet above from the coaching call I did last week for my Personal Story Power students.

By the way, I offered this coaching call as part of my Personal Story Power Experience package for the students who committed early to joining me in La Jolla.

If you enroll in October's Personal Story Power this week, I'll cut you in on the next call. (And, I'll even share the rest of the recording from this week's call so you can hear ALL of the story.)

Just reserve your seat before Friday, and I'll get you all set up.

Together, we'll turn your lowest moments into storytelling gold that creates instant trust—and immediately captures the attention of anyone you want to influence.
