I love live events, but maybe not for the reasons you might think.

I just hosted a few hundred people for back-to-back Personal Story Power events in La Jolla—and I was absolutely blown away.

The event gave me a visceral reminder of the electricity you can create when you get people in a room and open up their bodies and minds to sharing their stories.

It also showed how powerful we can be when we're willing to put everything on the line and be authentically vulnerable with each other.

I know a lot of my students hadn't shared moments like this before. At least, not in front of an audience.

Their willingness to take that risk made their stories—and their humanity—come alive. In fact, I'm still thinking about some of the stories my students shared, and I find myself moved all over again. That's the incredible power of story—it lasts, long after the telling is done.

I want to share some of this magic with you, so I asked my team to put together a video to capture some of the event's best. You'll find it above. I hope it inspires you to get out there and share more of yourself.

One more thing: We're sold out for our October Personal Story Power event, but we're just about to announce dates for May 2020. If you want to get on the waitlist, click here and enter your information.

You'll get first dibs on seats once registration opens.

Take Action:

When is the last time you put everything on the line and shared a piece of yourself—either on stage or with another person? Tell me in the comments.

I'd like to challenge you to do it at least once in the next week. Share something you wouldn't ordinarily reveal. I think you'll be surprised by the impact you make.
