What's the story of your life?

Is it a heroic story? A rags-to-riches story? A love story? A come-from-behind story?

And, more importantly, is it YOUR story? Or are you living out someone else's story? (Most of us don't even know we're doing this.)

When you own your narrative, you can write your own ticket in life—and that puts you in the driver's seat.

You get to claim your story as your own, and then live it out. That's true freedom.

Your Marching Orders

  1. Watch the video above so you can understand the true power of owning your narrative.
  2. Pull out your journal, and spend two minutes writing about the story you've been telling yourself up to this point.
  3. Then, take a few more minutes to decide what kind of story you're going to tell going forward. Pick one word or one image that represents this story and post it in a place where you'll see it frequently throughout the day to remind yourself of this new narrative you're living out.
